Dr. Apurba Sankar Sastry M.D (JIPMER) DNB MNAMS PDCR has done his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur, Orissa. He is post graduated from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Pondicherry and currently working as associate professor at same institute. His area of interest includes hospital acquired infection and prevention, antibiotic stewardship and antimicrobial resistance surveillance. He is also the Hospital Infection Control officer of JIPMER. He has undergone training in National course on Educational Science for Teachers of Health Professionals. He is impassioned about teaching and has been a popular teacher among the students. He has also contributed in more than 40 national and international scientific research papers.

Dr. Sandhya Bhat K (Gold medalist), M.D DNB MNAMS PDCR wife of Dr Apurba, has done her graduation from Father Muller Medical College, Mangalore and post graduation from Sri Siddhartha Medical College, Tumkur, Karnataka. She was awarded FMCI President’s gold medal award for the best outgoing MBBS graduate. Currently she is working as professor in Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Pondicherry. She has undergone training in basic course workshop in medical education and in laboratory quality management & internal audit. She has also contributed in more than 30 national and international scientific research papers.
